My dog died 15 days week ago

I had a Pomeranian dog for the last two years. I had named him Dollar. I just loved him so much. I had bought him when he was just 2 months old. Last week he ran out of the house on hearing some other dogs barking. Now i regret leaving the door open. Those were some stray dogs who attacked him and bit him on his throat and he was bleeding. I seen him running out of the house and chased him. But it was too late. I couldn't believe what i saw next. He was soaked in blood and lying in one corner. I took him to the vet who gave him injections. But he couldn't survive. He died in my arms. I wept and wept. And I'm still trying to get over it. Now my cousin is trying to get me another dog. But i don't think it will take the same place in my heart that Dollar had.
