Ok everyone is saying how the media flocks to Obama. Especially this week. John McaCain was playing golf with Georger Bush Sr. Was the media suppsed to cover his golf game. I am positive Senator McCaisn knew that Obama was going to the Middle East this week. If so why didn't McCain plan something this week. He just sit back and watched like we all did. I personally think McCain should cash it in. Him and his political view are outdated along with the Republican presidency

Maybe if they covered his golf game we could have found out that he was good at something. I don't really know much about golf but the score would tell me. He should have taken the photo op with Bush Sr. maybe then he wouldn't have looked so old and mummy like.

If you could actually read the news instead of this guy's rants you'd know that McCain didn't just play golf. He actually held a town hall meeting where he answered questions from regular people in New Hampshire. It's a far cry from the speeches that Obama makes. After all, Obama has someone write all his speeches, and he just stands there and reads them before leaving. God forbid he actually answer any questions. We know he'd never do a town hall meeting since he prefers invitation only events. He can't let any of those republicans ask him questions that he doesn't have prepared answers for.

Well i figure McCain didn't play golf. I figure he just fetched George's balls. Probably was just his caddie. McCain has been nothing but a corporate call girl.

How wonderful to see the thoughtful posts of myLot newbies. Welcome to a world of fun!
Some people still insist McCain will win, but he doesn't seem very convinced himself. We can only pray he's right!

Conviced how can he be convinced his campaign has already went broke. His wife and Hensley & company has gave him so much that they have to return some. His funds are running out like his hope.

The facts have all been very carefully checked. If they hadn't, they'd be clearly labeled conjecture.
Perhaps you hadn't heard -- Hillary Clinton dropped out of the race quite some time ago. Barack Obama has been helping her campaign try to recoup her losses.

I, for one just knew McCain would jump on this opportunity, yet it seems like he is letting it pass him by. I think Obama just has more charisma and the potential to be living history--of course the media is going to flock to him. Obama seems to be this force while McCain seems like he is so laid-back and nonchalant.

Yeah I would recommend that Sen. McCain spend sometime looking for his V.P. If he is wanting to make this close at all maybe he should pick Hillary. lol I really do dis like her as well.

I think it's time for McCain to do whatever it is that old politicians do BESIDES running for President...lol! It's hilarious, he harped on Obama for weeks about him going to Iraq so when he goes now McCain says it was all a campaign photo-op. McCain obviously has memory problems and another example is his trip to Iraq a few months ago when he claimed how wonderful it was and how he could walk through the marketplace safely, just leaving out the little detail about the helicopters flying overhead and the armed guards surrounding him, out of camera range, of course!

Yeah it is kinda funny when the only thing McCain did all week was blame Obama for our high oil prices. Especially when in 2003 he voted against off shore drilling which kept us dependant on middle eastern oil.
It's funny that he wants to give amnesty to 15 million illeagals so that our welfare state would increse to a height we have not yet come close to.
It' also funny when he mistakes Viladimir Putin, president of Russia with the president of Germany. lol
What a great idea Republican party. I don' tknow what is worse the fact George Bush has been in there for 8 yrs or the fact that after he is gone they pick MCain as the follow up.

Educate yourself a bit and you'd see what he was talking about. McCain has made several trips to the middle east and the media has not covered a single one.
By saying McCain didn't plan anything this week you make your ignorance visible to everyone. Are you aware of the town hall meeting McCain did in New Hampshire today? He took questions from ordinary folks like you and I who don't just read scripted questions. Unlike Obama he has the guts to take those risks and meet with average Joe's. Obama will only do powderpuff interviews and invitation only speeches.
The media are flocking to Obama because he is the candidate that the media chose long before the primaries. That's why they blacklisted all the other democratic nominees early on. I'll bet if you asked 10 people on the street more than half of them couldn't tell you who John Edwards is and he was the third most popular candidate for the democrats.

"the only reason he had that meeting today was because Obama had just got back and he had to bad mouth him."
Again you demonstrate your ignorance. McCain has been doing town hall meetings weekly. This meeting was planned well before Obama's trip to Afghanistan and Iraq.
McCain has said the economy is not his strong point, but then honest people have a habit of telling the truth. I'm sure he's intelligent enough to hire people who can assist him with the economy as every president does to supplement his weak points.
The economy is certainly not a strong point for Obama. His strong point is yelling the word "Change" to his minions. He has no real substance. If 68% of Americans think the economy is more important than they war, the war is STILL important. Setting a timetable to have all our troops out without even talking to the generals in charge is foolish and presumptive. Situations like that need to be evaluated consistently before decisions are made. Obama is just telling people what they want to hear.

First of all I did not say his Campaign was broke now. I said it has already went broke. This is before Obama got the nomination. As a matter of fact he has taken so much money from his wife and the Hensley & Co. that he has had to give some back. Second surely you are not talking about senator McCains trips to the middle east. How he went to a market and it was just like attending a market here. Bologna. He failed to mention that there were 2 helecopters flying above him and how just off camara there were so many soldiers that had completley cleared the area. And about his meeting today, the only reason he had that meeting today was because Obama had just got back and he had to bad mouth him. But what would I know I am not educated... did you know 68% of all americans poled thinks the economy is more important than the war. How most have no health care and by the time I'm old enough there will be no Social Security. Not to mention the 4000 kids we have sent over there to die. And McCain has been quoted that the economy is not his strong point. How do youmistake Viladimir Putin the president of Russia with the pres. of Germany. Admit it he is old, to old, we are ready for a change. We have to have a change how can the middle class hold on with out it? But as you said earlier what would I know.
