Daughters getting closer to parents as compared to Sons after Marriage ?

Hi All,
Do you agree that daughters get closer to their parents after their Marriage ?
I think this is the case since daughters get the moral support of their parents after their marriage and vice-versa.
What do you think ?

wow, since you just mentioned it, I just noticed that you are actually right. I grew up in a closely knit family so when my sister got married we all missed her. I noticed that , yeah, my sister became closer not only to my parents but to us as well. She always visits us during weekends. I think the reason behind it is that daughters misses the comfort of BEING in the family rather than building their own. Boys on the other hand are more excited to be independent.
