tips to protect yourself
1.To break down a door: kick the door on,or just above, the lock.
2.If locked in a trunk:Locate the break cable pull on it to release the trunk. In newer cars look for an orange trunk release button,if you push the button the trunk will open. Also you can try to kick out or unscrew the break lights in the hope that the police will notice and they'll pull over the car.
3.If you're in a car that's becoming submerged in water: First get the windows down and try to escape through the windows. If that fails remain calm and wait for the car to fill up with water.Once it filled, you'll be able to open the door and escape.
4.If attacked by a shark: Be prepare to hit back.Try to hit the sensitive areas like eyes or gills, but not in the nose because you may end up in shark's mouth.hehehe
Have you experienced anything like this before?

Again good tips to keep in mind. I'm afraid though that if caught in any of these situations, I would most likely forget the tips because I would be panicking! They say remain calm - yeah right. Probably would not happen. But maybe if you read these things enough they will become ingrained into your brain so that with any luck you will remember BEFORE you panic! Best wishes!

Thank God, I've not experienced any so far. It made me grasped my breath just reading your post so I can't imagine myself caught in any of that situation. That worst that ever happened to me was being locked-up in an elevator when the electric power failed but the security guards were alert to note I was inside so they immediately did their best to open the door of the elevator and I was rescued in around 15 minutes or so.
