how long have you been using your mobile number?

since 2000 i have kept my mobile number while my landline has been existent since 1992 :D i guess i just value my friends and colleagues a lot that i want them to easily access me if they need anything...

I've had the same cell number since 1995. Number portability between carriers has made it soooo much easy to keep the same number, and I think there'll be more and more people that are keeping their numbers longer and longer. I love having the same number for such a long period of time. Everyone in my family knows what it is and no one ever has to ask. I don't have to think every time I need to share it or write it down on paperwork. Most excellent!

you're lucky to be at the right part of the world which practices number portability! i hope local carriers open up to such technology. it has been on the works for years but nothing has happened yet :( i'd probably have the highest customer churn rate if that happens though nyahahhaha

I wish i could keep the same number.the problem i get is that every year i see a nice offer and so just to save money or get a better phone, I'll change my number.Then when that contract ends, another offer is taken up and if it's on the same network, I cannot keep the same number!strange! Must have used about 8 numbers in the last 9 years! but i still remember the numbers! lol

well i guess carriers would have to improve on their products and allow consumers to retain their numbers (since there's a technology called number portability) while enjoying the perks of free fone -- anyways they get to keep the subscriber by giving free fone for 1 or 2 more years;)

I have had my number since 1999, I think. I've had other phone lines aside from this line but I have kept this all throughout the years. The service is good and I hate changing numbers. 
Long lost friends whom I haven't talked to would sometimes text or call and would be surprised that I still have the same number.

I am using my mobile number since two years and i doesn't even miss a call from it.I have a good mobile number and its easy to remember and it does end with 911.I love my mobile number and the phone too.I have a common motorola phone.My friends and family
members contact me with the same number.

good for you! i always miss calls hehehehe both my landline and mobile numbers are easy to remember that's why i also get a lot of prank callers or sms :(

I got my number since 2002. Guess we all have the same reasons. I value my friends and relatives and i want them to keep in contact with me always :) i also hate changing numbers because it's time consuming to inform every one you know that you change your number.

I've had same cell. phone number for about 4 years now... My landline phone number changed once after I moved in & I've had same number for about 13 years... I ported my cell. phone number from nextel to t-mobile few months ago... It would've been too much of a hassle for me to change the phone number...
