Hello Monkeyrose,
Since we don't have four seasons here, my family and I always take holidays at the end of the year. This year, I have yet to plan where to go. My husband will start working at a new workplace this coming September so I am not sure whether we can take holidays or not this year.

Hello Monkeyrose,
I am from Malaysia. It is hot throughout the year. Sometimes we get more rain, and sometimes it is really hot and humid *smiles* I normally go for a holiday at the end of the year as my office closes for almost two week (the last week of the year, and the first few days of the new year)

Cool. I've never been to Malaysla. Its very far from me. Do you like the heat? I wish I lived somewhere warmer... or tropical. The temperature is very temperate here... not too hot and not too cold.
That must be an exciting way to ring in the new year... on vacation!

I am broke this summer and the gas crisis does not help my economic situation. I am planning on going on a day trip this weekend, and we will probably go to New Hampshire sometime in September. I also went to Pittsburgh area to visit my sister.
Other than that I think that is going to be it as far as holidays for me. At least I went to Hawaii last year that was nice.

I took my toddler son on holiday to Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. I had a wonderful time seeing interesting historical sites, lovely architecture, meeting the local people, taking photos and visiting some sandy beaches. We traveled around on buses and trains. We stayed in guest houses and with a pushchair we often found ourselves staying on the third floor. The difficult part of the trip was carrying everything through security at the airport and managing on all the stairs. I bought some lovely costume dolls for my collection. Traveling in and around Eastern Europe used to be quite a bargain but not anymore. The prices were almost the same as those in my home country. Next time I plan to fly out of Europe, pay more for our flight and pay lower costs than my home country.

Wow that sounds wonderful! ANd good for you for taking your child traveling. That must have been a lot of work for you. I haven't heard much about eastern europe. My friend visits slovakia every once and a while because her family is from there.
Where are you from originally?
