Loss of Job in Bad Times

Well, tell me folks, what do you all do when that horrible time comes when the boss calls you to his/her office late on a Friday afternoon and says, "Can you come see me?" Do you know what may be approaching? Is the storm cloud beginning to show up over your head and you know that the dreadful, "We are downsizing and we have to let you go?" "YOUR FIRED!" "You are just downright brainless and have no idea about this job!"
So, what are you doing if you have been laid off? What are you doing to find a job? Since I was sent packing last Friday, I have already been hitting the local Department of Labor Office attended a couple of job fairs, etc.
If you are out of a job, don't panic! RUN!

Well thank goodness this has never happened to me. I hope that it never does, but I would probably break down into tears and beg. LOL!

hubby has been doing that. looking for a job, attending job fairs etc
he finally agrees to sort out unused stuffs for yard sale. I have been trying to make him do his part for years lol I have sorted out my stuffs and sold some on e bay but yard sale is cheaper and he has more stuffs to sort than I do. we were panicking but we know panicking won't help. this is hard time for everybody if we lose the house then we lose the house, nothing we can do more than we have done.

I'm sorry to hear you lost your job. Did you see it coming or did it came out of the blue?
I don't have that problem anymore, I became a stay at home mum this year. My husband is the one who can still get fired. I think the first thing he would do is getting his file in order at the union (they make sure he gets paid if he doesn't find another job) then he will start looking for a new job: interim or fixed, but he will do it asap, 'cause we need his income very badly.
