does anyone know of a good program i can use that is similar to photoshop? I need a good free program.

Try Gimp, it's totally free. I can't promise it's as good as Photoshop, but what do you expect for free? http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/

gimp is the open source that being used both windows and linux user and even the mac user can also used this one software..

Use Paint Shop Pro , or Corel series... very good programs , but very expensive. I tried shreware versions. Btw. also as you can see up - gimp is very good and FREE!!

You might want to try the free NET paint, probably not as powerful but good enough for common graphics manipulations and effects. Have a look here http://www.getpaint.net/
