Sunrise or Sunset

When my family flew to Canada in 1997, I had the most amazing experience: Surrounded by clouds at 35,000 feet, I witnessed a spectacular sunrise! Never mind that I was so sleepy from jetlag, I just could not peel my eyes from that scene where the sky was first dark, then slowly, pink hues were creeping in, then it was a faint orange before finally, there was this burst of orange and yellow. I will never forget that scene, nor that plane ride to Vancouver.
A year later, I was fortunate to have sat inside a hotel room facing the Manila Bay. There I saw the famed sunset. It was just as moving and spectacular. I never fail to become hopeful each time I am reminded of either an inspiring sunrise or magnificent sunset.
Which strikes you more?

Manila Bay has a magnificent sunset. I agree on that, but I didn't experience it personally. I just peek some pictures from my photographer friend who did some marvelous photos.
Hope I could experience it too. Someday.
