Have you ever started a relationship while on vacation

When I was 20 I went around the world and I met a very nice man on a train when I was traveling from Cairns to Brisbane. We met in the club loco car and we began chatting. I met his friends and they also seemed very nice indeed. They invited me to stay in their spare room and so I did. The man and I got on so very well and we had so much in common. We spent lots of time together and he showed me so many lovely places. I started a relationship with him and although going back to Sydney for a couple of weeks I came back to Brisbane to be with him. We traveled up the coast to Cairns by road and had a great Christmas together then New Year's Eve. It was terribly sad saying goodbye and leaving for Darwin on my way home. The man saved up money to come to see me in my home country. He came over and proposed to me. We got married and lived in my home country. Sadly we did get divorced six years later.

I personally haven't but my daughter met her boyfriend when she was 16 in Lanzarote and has been going out with him ever since, she is nearly 22 now and for the first couple of years they lived over 300 miles from each other and also my friend Sandra met her husband Tony while we were in Ibiza when I was 18 and I'm forty five now and they are still married after all these years. Many say holiday romances don't work but for these four people they certainly have eh! Enjoy your vacation together and go from there. Ellie :D

I can tell you my story about a relationship while on vacation. Back in 2000, a friend of mine took me to Vegas for my birthday. While there he and partied and gambled like there was no tomorrow. On the second night we were out on the dance floor area between Harrahs and the Oriental when I met a beautiful blonde women. To make a long story short we met in May, she came to see me in Michigan in July, I flew to Colorado in August to propose to her and she and her son moved to Michigan in October. How is that for a nice story! :-)

Well yes I did meet a man when I went home to visit about 8 years ago. I was on vacation for a week and we met and became very good friends. But this too was 1000 miles away. We stayed in touch for awhile but he did not have a computer so we could not e-mail each other. We did phone one another for awhile. But nothing really became of it because I really am not too good at long-distance relationships. Good luck to you..
