I love to smile and when it comes to strangers, well, that, to me, is the best time to smile. I did have a strange things happen to me the other day though. I was thinking about whether I was an attractive person deserving the eye of a young lady and then not more than 5 minutes later this beutiful brunette walks around this corner, looks and me smiles and then did this 'shy turn' thing as she walked away. I have no idea if she was pulling some kind of trick on me or something but that sweet smile was all I need to get myself back on level ground.

First off I would like to say that smiling itsself is not an emotion.
Emotions are happiness, sadness, jealousy and such. Smiling is an expression that belongs to one of these emotions and there are more emotions that could be named but I will just leave it to this three as I guess that has made my point clear enough .
When I walk by someone in the street I can smile at them as a way of greeting them, doesn't have to mean I feel happy (emotion). There is also laughter from joy and then it is linked to an emotion, but there are also a lot of 'fake' smiles out there we use to say hello to people with, thank them with, and many other body language with just one smile.

Yea. I'll smile to the person if I find that person friendly.
Smile is contagious and it can make someone's day. Most of the time, when I smile at someone, that person will smile back. That makes me happy.
That's why when someone smiles at me, I'll definitely smile back. (unless the smile is an evil smile).

i try to smile at everyone. who wants to see an old frowning face. it's easier to smile than to frown. a smile will go a long way w/people in a good way.

I would have to say that I like to smile back at people usually. If it is a stranger there is really nothing wrong with it. I guess it is better if they smile at you then make an angry face. I agree, smiling is a nice emotion to have. It means that you are thinking happy thoughts or having a good day. Keep smiling!

I like to smile. I try to extend that smile to many though sometimes the responses back are cold, embittered, or simply ignored. Sure, not every day I feel like smiling but I know the value of a smile, a measure of lightness and humour. Circumstances can change anything this way, like few feel like smiling when they have endured some adversity. But there is power in a smile, a warmth gesture and I would always continue to smile as an extention of my own warmth, courtesy, and respect.

Smile is a universal language. I love to smile but there are times when people will take it out of proportion. I remember early this week, yesterday to be exact I was on the top of the lane standing and looking out when a police car came and stop near me. There was a disable man and he was coming out of the car. I smile a welcome and his attitude was are you smiling at me. I have to explain myself to him. I believe that smiling is a good thing and so I practice it. Sometimes even here in MYLOT by just reading my responses one can know if I am smiling or if I am serious. Whether you are a stranger, friend or relative there is always a smile from me.
