i do. when i was still in high school. im an officer in our school. our commandant brought us to the shooting range somewhere in manila. we used garan for shooting. its heavy and its long. im really nervous that time. the bullet is coming out of the garan. its very hot. if the bullet touches your skin you will burn it.

I have never done target shooting myself as of yet, but I am very interested in pursuing it. My dad is a shooter, and has done quite well in local competitions, winning three gold medals. I was going to take one of the classes offered at the local range several months ago, but did not get around to it. I really should go to one soon. It sure looks like a lot of fun.

I've never fired a Garand (fullbore semi-auto rifles are currently banned where I live) but I do a bit of target shooting with a .357 lever action rifle, a .22 semi-automatic rifle and an air pistol. I don't claim to be the best shot in the world, but it's a pretty good way to relax and have fun.

How does a garan look like? I get to go for shooting range when I was serving in the army for my 2 year mandatory national service. Initially I used M16 rifle then later on I used SAR21 rifle. Its one of the interesting activities back in the army.

Target shooting is a great past time. The Garand is a nice weapon but usually I shoot something smaller just because the ammo is cheaper (30'06 can get pricy).
