Has anyone ever read Switchers, and its sequel, Midnight's Choice? I can't remember the author right now, so if anyone can help with that, please do. I'm interested in hearing what some other people would do with the abilities (and limitations) described in the books. If you were able to transform into any creature you could imagine, but had to choose a permanent form after the age of (is it 15 or 16, or am I completely off?), what would you choose? Personally, I would have to have my fun with the ability before the deadline, and then make sure I was human before my time ran out. There's realy nothing else I'd rather live the rest of my life as...

Hello rayne. Welcome to the lot! Switchers was written by Kate Thompson. It was the first of a triology, of which "Midnight's Choice" was the second book and the third and last book is titled "Wild Blood". An interesting concept told in a very readable way. I rather enjoyed them even though I found them juvenile in a way, but I guess that's because I'm old and they are really written for young people. LOL If I had my choice and could 'switch' I'd want to be Eagle. Smart, great eye sight, able to fly higher than any other bird and loves the mountains. Except for the flying higher part, that pretty much describes me as a human! LOL

I thought there was a third book, titled Wild Blood, but I couldn't find it, and as such, have not read it. Thank you for clearing up that detail as well as the author's name! And also, thanks for the welcome and response!

No probs. Here's a link where you can buy all three online for less than $2.00 each. They are used, but at least they are available. http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/t/kate-thompson/switchers.htm
