If you knew a house is haunted by ghosts, would you be brave enough to go have a look. I wouldnt. I would run a mile away for I would hate to dabble with the supernatural. I would feel its presence, real or imaginary all the time and the very thought gives me goosebumps. What would you do. Are you braver than me.

I would hate going into those places too. I am quite sure that whether it is true or not you would feel spooked by it since of course you may have heard many stories from there and you will either encounter a ghost if its true or your mind may play tricks on you.

I guess the stories and movies we see play an important part in our outlook and this influences us a lot. Well, mind game or not, I would not go anywhere near a spooky house. Thanks for the reply and cheers.

Hi ketybhagat, whenever I heard of the haunted house I would then feel very frightened and this might be due to the influence of the scary movies about eerie haunted house with ghosts I had watched before. Personally I feel that watching scary movies would bring an undesirable effect to us especially to the innocent children. This would always develop a phobia towards strangeness and darkness.
Definitely I’m not brave enough even to walk near or to enter any haunted house especially those long abandoned and spacious old buildings which are situated in remote area surrounded with gigantic aged trees, worse still if they were to be located close to the graveyard.
posting and take care.

Yeah, as I mom I also try my best not to allow my kid watching those scary movies, so he won’t develop the fear toward darkness when he is alone.
I’m really interested about the story how the mylotter lived in a haunted house before, so I try to go through her profile by typing her name to search for it, but pity that there is no such profile with the name you mentioned. I do be keen to read more about her story of living in the haunted house. Hopping that she would start a new discussion related to this very soon.
posting and have a nice day.

Yep, the books and movies do have an effect on the mind, and I wouldnt advice any parent to get their children to see such movies. I too would run a mile if I knew the house was hunted. Do you know, a mylotter called megan actuall lived in a haunted house, and Ive asked her to write the details to us. I can imagine what she must have gone through. Im waiting for her reply. Do read it too. Ciao.

I believe that what we dont understand, i.e. supernatural beings, one must not indulge in it. It is more healty this way. In our college days we used to do planatchet, i.e. calling the spirits with a board of alphabets. It was bad. The spirit refused to leave and we could not disperse without the spirit leaving and all were sick with fear. We finally managed to make the spirit leave, but never have I then thought of indulging in what we dont really understand. it is better that way.

hi kety!
i would be brave to go inside a haunted house if it was day time. if the sun is up and casting its daylight inside the house. it would increase my courage too if there were people outside or cars making noises. it would be scary to enter a haunted house in total silence. you'd be spooked with the eerie and deafening silence inside the house. and one little noise would send you scurrying down the stairs outside the house. ^__^;; i don't like to have encounter with the paranormal too. it would be very scary. i don't think i wouldn't be able to take it if i see a ghost following me around inside the house. .

I lived in a house that was haunted for a year. It was hard sometimes to tell between the stuff your mind makes up and the things that were real. It was definately an expierence you don't forget very easily!

Phew, Id probably die of fright. Did she harm you in any manner ? Its a wonder she allowed you to leave. They usually dont. But since she was minding her own business and not harming you all, she must not have minded. Well, you must be really brave. All the best and thanks a million for replying.

Due to my exhusbands history, it was the only place we could rent. The house belonged to a man whose mother once lived in it. She was 80+ years old and was in the kitched when a 16 yr old broke into the house and raped and murdered her. This all happened 16 years ago. The guy who did it was finally caught right before we moved into the house. The district attorney and the police would come in while we were living there and take pictures and all to prepare for the case.
My daughters room was right off the kitchen and she was affected the most. She would have really bad nightmares whenever she was at the house. She did not know the history of the house so it wasn't a reaction she had because she lived there. The bathroom was right next to the kitchen where it happened and the water would run and it would sound like someone was walking around in there.
I know it was an old house, but I swear that you could hear her walking around in the house.
