When did you go the first abroad vocation? I want to go to New York!

In my opinion it is very difficut to go abroad. Firstly I don't have enough money! Secondly I don't have enough time. it is not easy to apply a passport! So far I have not visited any foreign countries.
But I always see foreign visiters in my country, I think they are so cool. I wonder whether they need to work? why they have some many time to do this? I have to work very hard or I will lost my job.
If I have chance, the first plac I want to visit is New York , the beautiful modern city. I also see it in the Hoolywood films.

I first went to Hong Kong when I was in my Senior year in college for our Tourism subject. I'm very proud because this was the first time the school ever allowed students to go out of the country for the Tourism class. So we were the first batch.
We also went during the 150th year of China so we were able to watch some fireworks and some celebrations.
The next time I got to go out of the country was for a week's stay in Malaysia which I won from a raffle.We were billeted in a 5-star hotel and if we were to pay the amount of our stay would have cost us a whopping Php 100,000!
excluding flight details and food!
I really want to go to the US and I hope I will be granted a visa when I apply again for one.

Not easy to apply for a passport? Which country are you from?
My first abroad trip will be in 2 months. Guess where? New York!!

I am from China, if you travel with a group which are organized by tourism agency, there will be no problem which applying for passport. but if you want to visit the foreign country individually, it is not easy, because the embassy will need a lot of certificates to prove you only want to travel and not to find a job in their countries.

Well i am first time to new york city and i visited time squares and liberty statue..its so great!
