Valeria, was it the weather in Florida you didn't like? I know they have lots of tropical storms and hurricanes down there. I love to visit Florida, but not during the bad weather times. We were on vacation for a week in Panama City once. It rained every day from a tropical storm until the morning we were to leave!
Here where I live (Alabama) I guess the tornadoes are the worse. We have never had one to hit right in our vicinity, but they have hit places close. We did have trees knocked down by the high winds once, but other than that, we've been very lucky.

Wow! Well Florida was too much for me, I hope never go back. I am talking about Tampa area. Oh no not for me. I went from San Diego to Florida and traumatized me. I do not want to offend nobody is just my taste. Mosquitos, weather, pfffff. Thank you for answering!

We have lots of mosquitoes here, too. But we have learned to live with those. We don't have lots of water around, so they aren't that bad.
I do love the Florida beaches, but not to live on. I would love to visit them more often. But the dry heat down there gets to me.I could never live there, I don't think.
Where did you move to? Did you go back to California?

Right now, we're living in my in-laws. Some of the worst things are as follows:- you can't move in your own, no privacy and freedom
- there's so many people around
- i don't like the attitude of my husband's niece
- unavailablity of vehicles during midnight

one thing i made clear to my past relationship and whoever ask me about things i would like if i will get married (whenever that is)
rule number 1: i will not stay with my husband family or with my parents..i want to build my family with my husband solely...i know there are instances like that and i have heard countless stories how hard it is...well my idea was orginally my parents idea and it was just passed on to all of us...hope i wont find a guy who will let me live with my inlaws...
good thing i am rentng my own place so the only missing is my husband to be...lols

it's hard, really! no matter how smooth things were between you and your in-laws when you and your husband were just boyfriend and girlfriend, things will become complicated and totally different when you're already married and you're living with them.

Florida? "hell on earth?" Nawwwwwwwwwwwww. All you have to deal with is about a dozen hurricanes every year, that's all!
//sarcasm// :)
I live in Houston, Texas. Some of the worst things:
- We're a metro area of 6,000,000 people. Traffic jams start at midnight and go until 11:59 p.m.
- It's hot. It's sticky. HUMIDITY. 100 degrees ain't so bad if it is just dry, but our humidity skyrockets because we're close to the water. It feels like a sauna from May until November.
- The streets in downtown-downtown Houston have been under construction since the 80s and will most likely continue to be under construction until the year 3000.
- Red light cameras.
- When it rains, it doesn't pour. It floods.

Moving away from Florida is my retirement dream. The worst thing about Miami is sort of a toss-up. The heat is often ubearable. and the crime, or the fear of crime, has restricted just about everybody's life to a very sad extent.

That's why we run from one air conditioned area to another! The electric bills are outrageous, but really necessary. Right now, it's steaming-hot, but there's a thunderstorm going on, too. Typical Miami!

hi valeria.. why do you call it hell? I live in the Philippines and it's really really hot in here.. at least you have snow right? we only have two seasons, rainy and summer. Really hot in summer, and when it rains, parts of the country are submerged in water. And the worst thing here, actually is the politicians. I hate government officials here.

i live in a fairly large city in canada and i guess what i dont like is the pollution that all the big companies make here. i can live with the weather (the heat and humidity in the summer and the freezing cold during the winter, oh and the snow too!)

Hi there valeria1
Where have you moved to where the weather is so diverse to Florida? I love where I live in England but if I had to choose something that I didn't like about the town it would have to be that every Thursday the farmers bring their sheep in to sell for slaughter and I look at them and think, 'I know where you are going'! I can't avoid it because it is beside my son's pre-school.
