I Need Some Help With My Site.

Well i've een working on my first proper site (without using the shells on the providers) and I've been looking on a couple of other sites to give me some ideas and help with the design and layout. One of which was this site: http://spikethepunch.org/designs/ I really liked the idea of the main section where she has posted some "news" and underneath each post it says "Posted by Laura""comments (0)" and the post categories.
So I would like to use this in my own site, but being relatively new to the whole HTML thing (well the more complicated side) I have no idea how to put one in, use one, whatever it's called, so if someone could help I will be very grateful. Thanx

Well if you didn't get it i wanted help with getting the "thing" I wanted, since I have no idea what it's called or how to incorporate it into the site.

I will encourage you to create a blog rather than a website for the first time.Because creating a website from scratch requires you to take even a computer course. Go to

to create a blog. However if you are interested to create webpages by yourself try search for "free web authoring software". Grab a software and start creating web pages.I think it will help.

It's not my first site, but the first site I've done using HTML along with a web authoring programm, I've had a blog before, not what I'm looking for.
