Yesterday,I and my wife come out to have a supper. It's really hot now in China, the temperature is 39 degree celsius. Then the worst thing happen, we occur a power cut, such thing happens frquently recently, especially in the southern of China. All of the world know that the price of the oil is increasing maddly, so, what's confusing me is: Is USA short of electric power, too?

There is not a shortage of electricity in the US. Whenever there is a very bad storm, the power may go out in certain area, or if lightening strikes a transformer the power will go out, but on the whole everyone always have power. Unless, of course they do not pay their bill

Occasionally there will be brown outs in some of the huge cities but generally we don't have much problems with lack of electricity. We do have problems when there is sever storms that break down the electric lines. We get our power from a big vanity of source. There are Hydro Electric Power Plants and nuclear energy plants. In some ares ther is the wind that produce electricity.
