Reviewstream Question

For those of you who write reviews for Reviewstream, do you notice any kind of trend in terms of what reviews are paid at the regular full rate as opposed to those reviews that are paid at the bulk rate? I have written several reviews for them and so far the only one that has received a bulk rate was the one I wrote about cat food. I think I read somewhere that reviews of certain types of items, such as books and movies, will always be paid at the bulk rate because they are so common and so many people review them all over the internet. I am wondering if that is true or if the bulk rate has more to do with the quality of the review. Does anybody have any light to shed on this?

I have noticed that most reviews you do get paid in bulk. I have only reviewed three that I have gotten the full $2.00. Two of the reviews were of medicine that I was on for anxiety. The other one was for this cream for acne. I think it might have to do with both, what you are reviewing and the quality of the review. I would suggest reviewing any medication you have been on. I would think that reviews like medicine, hotels, and electronics would get the full $2.00. I am not sure though. I review a lot of movies and I have never got the 2.00 for any movie review. You said you have written several reviews and only one got the bulk rate? Or the other way around? If only the one got the bulk rate, would you mind telling me what types of things you are reviewing? That way maybe I can start earning the $2.00 more often.

Most of my reviews have been of cosmetics as I am kind of working my way through my makeup bag. LOL However, about three of those have been paid at the bulk rate but the rest at the full rate. It is weird because I did two lipsticks from the same brand but different colors and got full rate for one and bulk for the other. My other reviews have been of hotels and local restaurants. They have paid at the full rate. Other than that I have not really noticed a particular trend. The other thing that is interesting is sometimes they will say I am not specific enough and reject the review totally and I will go back and rewrite it (because I generally forget to keep a copy so I have to start all over) and they accept it the second time. I find this odd because I really don't think I am doing a better job the second time or being more specific because generally I say every single thing I can think of about the product the first time -- in the hope of not having to do it again. I don't know whether there is any rhyme or reason to it. Let me know if you figure anything else out.

I will let you know if I do find out more about it. I am going to try to review different things and have "better quality" reviews. I would like to start getting more reviews at the full rate. It sounds like most of the reviews you do are at full rate so I know it is possible. For the longest time I just thought they rarely did that. I would really like to start earning at the full rate because it would earn me a lot more money. Do you think it might also have anything to do with how long your review is? I have reviewed make up on the site and still only get the bulk rate. Maybe it wasn't specific enough or long enough. It is odd that the second time it accepts it. I still like the site though.

I wanted to ask something else. Do you ever run out of things to review? I do quite a bit.

stay away from review stream, its simply not worth spending your time on a site that has such a high minimum payout rate.
