My mother had alzheimers and I was her carer before she passed away for as long as I could cope that is...I was told the brain is a muscle and must be exercised like any other muscle in our bosies so the term that was used is 'use it or lose" in a lot of cases that is.

Is your mother still alive? Do you know any families wo are caring for a loved one with dementia?

No mother mother passed away...I do have a couple of friends who are now going through the same thing I was going through , as in being a carer...
