They say men usually dislike being told about their ,inadequacies, inabilities and incapacities. How do you communicate to your lover about the things you want him to do without touching his ego and without sounding like a nagger? Can anyone give me specific examples? Thanks

Hi, jeninays ~ I am a man, and you are correct. There are ways to say things, and there are ways to say things that will go over better. I always tell my wife that if she has something to say that I am not going to like, she can soften the blow by telling me, "You're not going to like this, but..." I don't know why, but this defuses the statement and makes it a little more tolerable for me. I have been reading a book recently that deals very closely with the topic of your post - it is called: What Shamu Taught Me About Life, Love, and Marriage: Lessons for People From Animals and Their Trainers by Amy Sutherland. The book grew out of a New York Times article that can be read here: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/06/25/fashion/25love.html
