Or did you find Toni Basil annoying on this week's So You Think You Can Dance? I was amazed at how pompous she sounded! Maybe it was her word choice or the way she ennunciated those words. I don't know. I am just glad I don't have to listen to her again.

Hah! I totally know what you mean! I had recorded the show, so after listening to her critiques for the first two performances, I couldn't stand it and had to fast forward to avoid listening to her for the rest of the show. I did catch occasional snippets after though and the one that made me burst out laughing the most was when she said Twitch came from the "street" like he was so underprivileged or a thug or something. It was just too weird. Her gestures - hands waving all around the air - was getting quite annoying too. I hope she never judges on the show again.

Oh - I also noticed, and maybe I was just reading too much into things, that Mary had distanced herself so far from the third judge more than usual. When the camera shows the three judges sitting side by side, there was so much space between Mary and Toni, it was funny to see! I don't think Mary normally sits that far from the third judge.

You're so right. I noticed that a couple times too. When they showed all three judges, Mary was practically sitting in Nigel's lap. I wondered if that was a freudian thing or just didn't want to get caught in her camera shot. tee hee, I think you're right, she was subconsiously distancing herself.

It is not just you something about her was annoying. I mean how many times can she say the word organic i thought it was a cooking show not a dancing show. I mean really how do you dance organically lol she just sounded confusing i wonder if any of the dancers actually knew what she was saying.

Judging by comments on other boards, I think she just may be the least favorite guest judge ever. Too bad, I think she was sincere but you're right, its not so much what she said but how she said it. I think she may have been a bit nervous too. Whatever it was, it was not workin.
