While I know Ritalin has been around for a while, did anyone know that ADD did not have a name unil the Pharm company who invented Ritalin gave the diagnosis to our Peditricians? Why would they create a drug (that is legal cocaine) for a diagnosis that didn't exist? And then how did it get so big so fast?

I had a Pediatrician try to prescribe Ritalin for my son within 5 minutes of walking into her office.
My son was unknown to this so called Pediatrician and yet she was able to diagnose and prescribe treatment within 5 minutes.
Of course the Pediatrician was one the was "recommended" by the teacher at my sons school. Do you see any Red Flags, I sure do.
