Bank balance cleaned out by wife.

My friend is one of the softest, humble man on earth. Unfortunately he married a dominating and rude woman. His life is as it is hell. He lives everyday from one mental abuse to another. He somehow wont take a divorce, maybe becasue he is too meek. Well, some days the poor guy went to the bank to withdraw some money for a music system and he was shocked to know there was no money in his account. His wife, knowing that he wanted to buy a music system, calmly went and cleaned out his balance. He is still in a state of shock and though there was an argument between the couple, she has calmly said she will not part with the money. Sad and my heart goes out to him. Why do meek men go for the dominating ones. Any advice to make him see sense.

Poor guy. But it seems there never lack of such men in this world. One of my friend is very like your friend. And I don't know how to help him too. Your Characters decide you fate, I think this saying is true.
But it's very strange that how do his wife know the password of the account? Do the Couple share their bank account? that's really interesting.

Yes. amgel, they shared a bank account and that is how she could clean up the balance. Now he has opened anoher account. She draws a handsome salary and keeps it all to herself in her name only. He looks after her and the household needs. Yet he has to suffer so, being the gentle giant.

Sad to hear about your friends state. I don't understand how long he will get with her,tolerating here rude behavior. God! only have to save your friend.

He must be brave and take some steps. He has already opened another account in his name. That woman draws a handsome salary, but has her own account. He takes care of all the expenses and her wants. Yet, when he wanted something, the balance is dry. Poor guy, I just hope he gets the courage to do what is right.

Its not that Im trying to put you off joint accounts. Ive been married for 21 years and have a joint account with my husband. It just depends on the type of life partner you get. In this case, the poor guy is too much of a gentleman and hence she can dominate him. He has learnt from his mistake and has opened a single account. Its not just this, every part of his life is in a mess. Just hope things work out for him.

Wow, that's horrible. It sounds like he got stuck with a real winner. I hope they get things sorted out, or he realizes that he needs to get away from her. Poor guy!

Unfortunately they had a joint account so she had access to his bank balance. Now he has turned wiser and has opened his own bank account. She will never improve and makes his life impossible at every turn. My heart bleads for him, such a gentle gentle man.

that is so sad. for that particular situation, i don't know if she works but they should have their own bank accounts. it is healthy for married couples now days. even for good marriages it is needed and healthy. poor guy.

Poor guy is right, but I have to ask just being devils advocate. There's always two sides to the story granted I am not siding with her at all. I do fell sorry for the guy, but does she work as well? IS that her money as well did she earn any of it? Does he spend money on things he wants and doesn't take care of household bills?
Just asking cause some men and woman are like that. But if he's a great guy and just has a horrible wife, then he should seek professional advice in the form of a lawyer!

This guy is the most gentle guy on earth and no, all this money is his own earnings. His wife too draws a handsome salary, but has her own account in which his name is not there. He gives her more than enough to run the house and takes care of all her wants, even though she earns well. Wish he would take a divorce, but being the soft guy that he is, this giant step leaves him cold. I do hope things work out for him. Now he has opened another account in his name only.
