The One Snake You Would not Want to be Bitten by.

Having worked with thousands of snakes over the years, I have learned that they are actually rather calm. Many people fear snakes, and this is sometimes a good thing. Some snakes are very dangerous. To me, the gaboon viper would be the worst snake to be bitten by, due to pain. Gaboon Vipers have the longest fangs in the world, and they pack a wallop. What snake scares you and why?

Snakes - Not all snakes are posionous and they have a part in the Eco system
I like to hold the non-posionous ones from time to time. I like to watch them crawl away they are such a graceful thing to watch. Call me strange but I even like to see them feed. But I guess I need to get back to the discussion and what snakes that scare me. I am scared of the ones that are poisonous and that can kill me. I've always said have wanted a snake but then again I think is kinda cruel to keep them in a glass tank they don't have the freedom to gracefully move across the grasses and ground. We had a friend that found a copper head in his driveway and they chopped the head off because it was so close to where kids play. The body was still moving hours after they removed the head. It was a beautiful color and smooth and the markings were lovely. Sad that they took it's life and didn't move it to a safer place but if a person doesn't know how to handle snakes safely it wouldn't of been wise to try and move it. I get upset when people feel the need to kill the ones that do no harm. They are part of the eco system as well.
