How late do you order pizza at night?

Do you ever order pizza very late at night? Do you find that pizza ordered late tastes better or worse than pizza ordered at dinner rush hour? In my younger days, I loved to order pizza at midnight! It was so much fun hanging out and watching movies while eating my favorite food. Recently though I've found that pizza ordered late never tastes good! I think it's cause our local Pizza Hut only serves the older pizza from earlier in the day. So if you order just before closing, you get the dried out crust pizza with congealed cheese and rancid toppings! Yuck! Whereas the freshest pizza is made around dinner time between five PM and eight PM, so that's the best time to order. Our local Pizza Hut always makes the brand new pizzas for dinner rush hour. Nothing soggy or left over! Just fresh.

Oh, I definitely ordered pizza late at night before, sometimes when I was still in college I would order at 11 or midnight! It's been almost a year since I was even in school, so I can't really remember how pizza was at that hour. But from what I can remember it was still very good! I always ordered from dominos and I'd get pizza and sometimes cheesy bread! Those were good times, just hanging out of the weekends and ordering pizza. LOL Now I live way out in the country and nobody delivers out here, so I either have to have frozen pizza or pizza we make from a crust and sauce plus toppings. Although, we did go to pizza hut the other day, and that was really good!

Hey you know what! Here's an idea that I use for my pizza and it really works. Some weeks I order two big pizzas from our local pizza place (or do a take out pizza) and wrap slices in alluminum foil and freeze them. Then on days when I really crave pizza (not just store bought), I put a slice on my George Foreman machine and prop open the lid an inch or two so that the grill doesn't smush my toppings. (Sometimes I use the pepper container to prop the lid) Takes about ten minutes to fully cook, depending on how crisp you want the crust. Best tasting pizza ever! Almost as good as fresh delivered pizza.

Oh! That's a great idea! When I was in college I would usually get 2 pizzas and put the leftover slices in plastic baggies and put them in my microfridge. But what you do sounds like it probably makes the leftover pizza even better! Although, we don't have one of those machines, so I'm used to popping leftovers in the microwave, and it's good enough for me. But what you said sounds really good, that it keeps it'ss freshness like a just delivered pizza!

I order pizza usually if it is on an off day in the afternoon . If it is a friday , and a weekend I seem to order later at night like around 8 or 9 . Sometimes, when i am out at a ballgame I will crave a pizza and get one later at night like 11 or 12 and sometimes it is good and sometimes it stinks . I noticed on busy days , and weekend the pizza sometimes wont be that good .

I know! I know! Some of those pizza places get real sloppy with customer food. I wish they'd be more considerate. Twice I ordered from our local Dominos and they delivered bad tasting pizza. I've never ordered from them again in four years. Though our other Dominos where we lived in the other town was very delicious! Better than Pizza Hut.

I make my own pizza because I can not eat the wheat containing crust on purchased pizza. But occasionally my wife will have a real craving for a pizza and I will not want to cook it so she orders one. I think the latest we have ever order on was at 10:30. We also have them make a fresh pizza because my wife likes different things like the white sauce instead of the red so they do not stock pile those.

The other night I called at 9pm and asked if they were still delivering, and since they said yes I ordered from them. It was right before I got some groceries, so there wasn't anything edible in my fridge. It was very fresh tasting. I've never had problem with my local pizza places serving what tastes like old pizza. They say they only make it when the order is placed. Maybe that is why.

usually 10 pm.anything after that they either forget you,mess up your order,or take forever.if it's friday,forget it.you'll never see it,might as well pick one up at 7-11.

Where I live, the freshest Pizza is in the evening, at about 4. I don't usually order after 9pm. Kinda scared that the delivery boy would attack me. :D Actually, this is true any time I order..I'm stupid, yeah.

There is a place here in Canada called Pizza Pizza, and they deliver pizza up until 3 AM. I've been known to order pizza as late as 2:30. LOL Some nights I'll just be sitting here infront of my computer hungry, thinking "I want a pizza!" LOL The nice thing is that I can use my debit card right at the door. I love Pizza Pizza!

it depends, there are times, especially when i've been out clubbing with friends, when i'm really hungry and just not in the mood to cook, so I would call the place near my house that's open 24 hours, they make pretty good pizza, but I don't like to order that late at night, cause they (especially the dilivery ppl) act as if you're interupting them or something.

When I do order pizza from our local Dominoes it is always fresh right out of the oven hot. I have never had a pizza arrive to me that was soggy and card board tasteing. I didn't know they could do such a thing well I guess I just found out lol good to know. I hope Dominoes never does this for I will have it sent back and stand there makeing sure I get a fresh one. All this talk about pizza makes me want one lol but no money right now for one oh well maybe next time enjoy yours though.

I love ordering pizza late at night because i'm 20 and I like staying up late all the time. I don't normally order from Pizza Hut so I don't notice that pizza tastes worse late at night. The place I usually order from, Toppers, is open until 3 am has always made me fresh pizzas or at least I think so because they are very hot when I get them. Thanks for telling me about that though, I'll make sure never to order Pizza Hut late at night in case the one here is like that too.

hi dear we were all friends sitting and chatting and at 11:30 pm we decided to order some pizza from Smoking Joes..it was pretty good and in fact better than what we have during the rush hours..it smelt yummy and was crispier..i think they had enough time to do justice to the pizza..

for really i love pizza so most of Restaurant that make it here in my city know me as u say daily customer so for that any time i can order pizza and it come to me so hot so any time, is good for me to order pizza
