when can you say that you are really happy? lots of things can make a person happy but what's this one thing that you wouldn't trade for anything? i have lots of things that i can't give up or live without. but for me, the happiness i had when i was given the chance to have my daughter who had arnold chiari malformation type 2 since birth was the most amazing thing and made me completely happy even for a short time. i learned to appreciate everything specially the handicapped and i also had the chance to take care of her despite the fact that i am always sleepless. i enjoyed every single minute of it.now, though she's no longer with us i am even more happier because she is now rested and finally found peace with the creator. while with us,she had under gone 14 major heads surgeries, i even asked myself how did she make it when she's only a baby? she's only 1 year and 6 mos when she left us.

I dont know what is happiness. I never felt happy so much that i can remember it now. Yes all others are seeing my smiling face each day. But i am not happy from inside. I happy for others. Not for me. i am searching it.

hi dextornap!
just look around you and you'll find the meaning of happiness that we're talking about.secondly, give everyone a chance to make you happy. smiling on the other os completely different from happiness.its a way of expressing it in some sorts but it can never be considered happiness. there's a lot more deeper than smiling alone. lastly, give yourself the chance to feel being happy. then, you'll regret why you let loneliness conquer your life.

Hari!
For me the real happiness is serving God by chanting His Holy Names all the time.
The Hare Krishna Mahá Mantra. That is my treasure. This is the only thing that I should not like to forget:
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna
Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
Hare Ráma Hare Ráma
Ráma Ráma Hare Hare
Gouranga! (means be happy!)

I'm very sorry to hear about your daughter. But I still admire your maturity and the way you take things. That is where true happiness is. Happiness is in our own choice. It is the attitude of an individual that makes him happy or unhappy. We may face many situations in life, meet with many unwanted incidents too. But it lies in our hands and heart whether we allow them to influence our feelings or mood.
Happiness lies in the way we take things. If we are not influenced by external factors, if we take things in a positive way, if we take them at the lighter side - then we would not be affected by the worries or sorrows. So it all lies in the inside of an individual that determines whether he is happy or not. So attitude plays the role. I love your attitude. May God bless you will all peace and happiness.

I'm sorry about your child, that's terrible. I'm glad that you were able to spend some time with her, some parents don't even get that. I define happiness as that feeling you get when you are completely satisfied with your life and the way things are going in your life.

I'm so sorry about the baby. There are so many things
we don't understand. But one thing is for sure. The baby
was never meant to last long. Happiness is a state of
feelings that involves the hearts and mind. It makes
everything beautiful, you are feeling light headed and
floating in the clouds.
