Hello do you accept all the requests you receive, what do you do when you find a new friends request? I look into the profile of the person and I almost accept all active my lotters. I don’t accept those mylotters who are inactive. What do you see before accepting?

If someone sends me a freidn request, I accept the request. No one here knows my real name unless I post it myself, and this isn't as personal a forum as some I have been on. If I want to know someone better, I will get to know them off of Mylot, or I'll just keep things as they are on here.

Hi ramyashreesk! Oh, I do accept all friends' requests. I just give it a shot or a chance thinking that the friendship will somehow grow. And if after a few months, I will realized that they are not even responding to my discussions or comment on my responses, I will delete them. I used not to delete any friends before but then my list have been growing and I have noticed that only a handful are active and so many inactive mylotters, so I started cleaning up my list.
Take care and God Bless!

I accept all the friend request that I have had. I don't think that I have turned one down yet for any reason. Active or not active, I have accepted all of them so far. This is just a place where you chill out and talk to one another. So I wouldn't turn anyone down cause of them being not active. That is just me, it could be different for someone else. Have a good one.

I used to accept everyone but now I look at their profile first to see what sorts of discussions that they start. If they start lots on making money I do not accept them, if they start too many religious ones I do not accept them and if they are new I tend to wait a bit. If they are not very active I do not accept them either.

Hi ramya! Generally i accept all friends' requests. But if they are inactive, i may not accept. I kept pending one request with '0' contribution! They simply ask for friendship, but never starts. This request is pending for more than two weeks. Still i am unwilling to delete it and waiting for his beginnings!

I look at how active he or she is and also check if he is a potential spammer. If his interests are only money making sites and all his responses lean towards spamming I just leave it pending.

I now accept all the friends who ask. I did it when I first joined myLot, and then I deleted some who if I did not agree with them or if I said that certain things were wrong, got very angry, accused me of bad things, etc. Then I went on the interests and got friends that way, so I would have a balanced view. After that I now accept anyone who asks me. I do not worry about inactives, what I worry about is someone reporting me because they do not agree with my point of view. I would never do that to them so I do not appreciate someone doing that tome.

Hi there ramyashreesk!
I do not really accept all the requests I receive. I do look at the profile of those who send requests first. If I see that they are active members, then I would most likely add them. I also check if they are here to be active members or just to send links to the sites that they are members of.

Hmm.. as for me, I don't bother looking at the profile. I'm thinking that since this medium is like a networking thing (where you need people to widen your 'network' ~ since the more friends you have, the better chances of people seeing your topic or reacting to it) then I don't mind adding them all up.
I am here for the sole purpose of expressing myself. I'm not really here to build up communities or getting to know people. I'm here to express my views on topics at hand and come to notice that the more friends I got in my list, the more I got to react to more interesting topics.
So, I usually just accept, in all my time here in mylot, I have yet to deny someone's friend request.

As for the moment, I never deny or reject any friend's request because for me the more friends you have the better. While it is true enough that active mylotters could be a great help but for some reasons I still approve the inactive ones simply because from time to time, they will soon be participating again here in mylot, and some who are active now might lay low on posting stuff but eventually will post again the next time, its just like that. Quite often though, I am the one who ask or request for somebody, I leave them the choice to accept or deny my requests. But if I find my friends plenty enough, not quite sure if how many would that be, maybe just maybe I would limit my number of approval of friends requests.
Happy mylotting to you!

The only requests I don't accept are from spammers.
I mean, when I check their past posts and I find just a load of links to their 'money making sites'. In other words, they make no beneficial contribution to Mylot discussions.
Other than that - I love everyone! Especially if they are new here.

Well Even i am not Also Much Active in MyLot.
I come To MyLot When i Feel I Need Some Information About Certain Things or Topics.
So I Always used To Accept all.
But I Have Stopped Doing That.
As i May Add them to Friends List.
But if They Reply in My Topics.
I Wouldn,t be Able to do the Same for them.
So I don,t Accept Friends Anymore.
