can you eat without plate? / myLot

if in year 2020 plates of any kind be it silverware or plastic wont be available due to industrial shortage brought by oil price inflation. would you be able to eat without it? what are your options or substitutes?

not only could you eat with out plates and silverware, but you would HAVE TO. you have to eat to survive whether their were plates or not. i guess you can use anything flat for a plate, and for silverware.......you can use your hands..........good luck eating soup though.

lol. yeah having soup would be terribly difficult if theres no bowl or something. but maybe we can use coconut shells or anything round. anything just to survive.

Banana leaves is the best option for me. In the province we used banana leaves to eat lunch. We have our fingers as spoon and pork. It's not really a problem at all. If others centuries ago learn to eat with out siverware, we can do it too.

not a bad option huh. we use to eat in banana leaves too. i guess when that time comes we have no other choice but to use other resources which are abundant cause its the only way to survive.

We're talking food and eating. Someone, somewhere will come up with an alternative for the plastic. I have no idea what it might be, but fast food organizations aren't going to let the lack of plastic cause them to shut down...
