Those are the votes that people gave you, when you responded to their discussions,or been active in one,or even started a good one,or for whatever reason they wanted to rate you... I think the ratings are the '+'(pluses) and '-'(minuses) that we have as an option next to each person's response, but I don't know how many people actually rate you or how much is a rate worth... I guess having friends helps:)

The stars are our user reputation. It's a reflection on how other users have rated our posts using the plus and minus buttons. 1 is the lowest visible star, 10 is the highest. Everyone gets their star after 100 posts (that's the other number by your name).

Hi boxieblue. The star and her number is a rate in mylot. When you reach 100 posts you earn a star and the number in this is how the people in mylot rate you. Every time you are rated positive the number grow and negative the number decrease. It doesn't affect your earnings. Hope you get yours soon. Cheers and have a good day.

As far as I know, you get a rating star beside your name after 100 posts (i could be wrong about the amount, so don't quote me on that), but the more people rate your discussions, the bette chance you have of getting a high rating. Good luck with that.
