Search Engine Site That Pays Out?

I was wondering if anyone has used a search engine site that pays? I think I may have found a good one that pays out in points that you redeem for Visa gift cards, which to me is as good as money. :) If you want to know what site I am talking about send me a msg and please use me as your referal if you sign up. That's interesting. I have tried SlashMySearch, and did not earn a thing, so I am wondering what exactly one has to do there in order to earn. Is there a specific way to search that one has to abide to? Are there certain things one much search for in order to get paid? It is something I would like to know because I have seen many people who swear by such services and yet I once wasted an hour searching and earned nothing... maybe I am doing something wrong, so I am curious.
