How about working in an office where you can't express your views?

Have anyone felt that they are not allowed to express their views in their office? Do you have a very bossy head or elader or supervisor who always dominates your views? Doesn't this restrict and violate teh basic human rights? What will you do or what have you done in those situations?

Office setting - photo of people in office setting
Hi and Welcome to MyLot!! I used to work in an office and to me everyone seemed to be back stabbing everyone else. I guess that's what happens when there are alot of women working in one place. My boss knew he was a boss and like you said, he acted like a dictator, and of course he had his favorites. If I would try to offer my opinion, view or suggestion, I seemed to be always out voted by one of his "favorites". I experienced so much stress at that office. I am so glad I eventually got fired from that job. I think they were just trying to get rid of me because I'd been there for 16 years and was making pretty good money. Then they could hire a young pretty thing for a lot less. I'm glad I am on disability and don't have to work outside my home. Happy MyLotting, Char

thast for your wishes and thanks for your vies. thats the situation around the globe madam. its no guy or gal and no India or US, it is the case everywhere in the world. bosses are bossy and they want to dominante. i don't know why they don't realise that they were employess like us before they became bosses. they have their own views and think and force us to think that the view is correct and no other option is available. ok. never mind... we can jkeep talking on this topic for hours. lets hear from the others as well.

I am also the victim of the same but my objective is very clear, I clearly look after my work and never take care what other say. I keep my bosses on their toes. I am of the view that if one has confidence no body can harm him. The guys work speaks much louder then his or hers boss comments.

I worked in an small office before. I like my office mates and the salary is great. My only problem is my boss who is a dictator and wouldn't hear any suggestion from us. It's hard working like that so i resigned from my work.

yeah thats the response everyone will get. i heard an employer saying that people leave "bad bosses" and not "organisations". thats why i raised this question so that i learn what is the opinion of the people in general.
