I was looking in the classified ads, and saw one recruiting Avon representatives. It said that representatives earn 50% of their sales.
This is not true. Your earnings depend on how much you sell. If you sell less than $50 worth of products, you don't earn anything. After that, it is 20% and goes up to 50%. But, you have to have a fairly large order each campaign to earn 50%.

You are very right about that. They try to make it sound like it is so easy to sell Avon also. It is very hard to do, especially if you do not know alot of people who want to buy it. You have to have people that will want the Avon books to look through and actually buy something out of them. We live in the coutry and we do not have a whole lot of people here who will buy it and there is no places to leave your books for people to look at either. It is very hard to make the sales.

Hi Bd200789,
Yes you are right because I was an Avon representative once many years ago, I made some sales but got nothing needless to say I left.

But you do get product discounts and if you know people it shouldn't be that hard to sell. I have been tossing around the idea of selling it. I use a lot of their stuff and usually like it.

Yes, Bd, I think these types of selling jobs depend very much on your own enthusiasm. I have had a few friends who've sold Avon and other products, and a couple of them have been very successful indeed and even ended up with company cars. Others have found it much more difficult and a bit of a nuisance to collect their money and organise parties. I think if you are willing to devote a great deal of time to it, you will be successful - but it does take a lot of dedication and running around.
