My Husband works in AZ, but he's coming to see me next month. The only computer I have is my laptop. When I saw him in AZ, he had his desktop, and I had my laptop, but in Caada we only have my laptop. Will it be a problem if he checks his MyLot stuff from my computer, or will they possible close down both our accounts if he does that? Jut wondering.

I got this straight from the myLot FAQs for you:
My family wants to sign up for an account but we only have one computer. Is it ok for my family to use the same computer?
Yes, there can be more than one user that uses the same computer. Please make sure that each user has their own account, as well as their own PayPal or eGold account. Your accounts will be closely monitored due to the potential for abuse.
So that answers that! As long as you make sure you're logged in as your right selves and make it clear in your posts which one of you it is then they shouldn't have any reason to give you trouble.

myLot won't, but clixsense, adbux, etc., will. I thought about that the other day. I will be doing a lot of exploring of Guelph while I'm up there and you're sitting at the Second Cup. I've got to look up my friend's name whose a professor of environmental Science at UofG.

From what I understand as long as he logs in as himself, you won't have any problems. Doesn't seem like MyLot tracks IP addresses at all. They are just against sharing paypal addresses.

Let's hope so. I don't have the internet at home, so I use the internet at the cafe. I started reading a nice heavy book, so I'll have omething to do while my huband is using my computer. I have never had to share a computer in my life, so this will be a first! :) OH well, he's worthit.

I would think there should be no problem as there are people on here who have more than one family member living in the same household who are Active members here in myLot. You would just need to make sure that when one gets off of here, you would need to make sure and log off so that you would not be posting from each others accounts, and everything should be OK.

Well since more than one mylotter can share a computer, than there shouldn't be a problem with your husband accessing his account from your laptop.
This is what it says under the FAQ's:
"My family wants to sign up for an account but we only have one computer. Is it ok for my family to use the same computer?
Yes, there can be more than one user that uses the same computer. Please make sure that each user has their own account, as well as their own PayPal or eGold account. Your accounts will be closely monitored due to the potential for abuse."
You can see it for yourself at this link: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq1.aspx#6
I hope this clears up any concern you have!

It really is not a problem. Hubby and I are both using the desktop right now as the laptop needs a new cord and our budget prevents it from happening. We have gone back and forth between the laptop and the desktop all along, for almost two years. You guys make it very clear that you are not one person doing two accounts. Is hubby on my friend list?

Hi danish,
I am not sure about it but I guess if you have different account, it will not be a problem at all! Though, you're sharing pc but you have different profile..One has to log out maybe! I wish someone here can clear this out for you!

Just make sure you log out after using mylot. My husband and I both have mylot accounts and once I used his computer and he didn't log out so I posted in his name.

OH yeah, we're careful to log out. Thanks for the reminder though. Having two totally different icons, it's not hard for us to ell if one of us has left ourselves logged in.

i think when i read the guideline in mylot i understand that you could have many account from the main pc and with the same ip as long as it is not the same accounts and not the same email address and not the same persons and not the same bank account too this the rules here so i think acording to this both of you could open its account with no problem as long as every one have his own data and email address and paypal account . good luck with both of you posting and have a nice time here

I was on 2 different computers until I got a friend signed up on her computer. I think if I was willing to be signing in and out all the time, I could do stuff on her computer without a problem, so long as I'm in my own account.
I think you guys will be fine.

I am pretty sure it is okay to use the same computer. I have heard where there are husbands and wives here that are members and work from the same computer. They even signed up from the same computer, but I think they had to email mylot and tell them they were two seperate people and working from the same computer, to get their permission.
I have worked on my nephews computer and posted in mylot, on several occassions and he is a member with mylot too and there was never anything said to me about it, from mylot. I think they would tell you if it was a problem, a warming maybe. But then myabe not.
Now that three months have passed since you posted this discussion, is everything okay with you both working mylot from one computer? Has mylot said anything to you about it? Are you still both active here? I think I have seen you around since this discussion was posted but I am not positive that I have. I hope everything is okay and you are still here, my friend.
