OK if you are a parent you have a child, what is their name and how did you pick it?
We have a daughter Caroline, she is a honey moon baby and was named after the song "Sweet Caroline" since we sang it through our whole wedding cruise!

I have four. My first's name is Joseph, after my Uncle Joe ( also my Godfather) and in honor of my cousin Joey who was killed in an auto accident when he was 23.
My second, she is Katie, and I actually named her after the Katie who was on "My Three Sons". I used to watch the show when I was a kid myself and always liked her, and somehow I remembered that when I was naming her.
My third is Stacie, I used to babysit a little girl named Stacie, and my husband and I both liked the name.
And last but not least, my youngest is Grace Allison, named after both of my grandmothes ( Grace and Alice )
Wish I could have more kids, I still have plenty of names that I like !

Wow that is neat, and they all have special meaning too! If we had a boy we still didn't have a name (and if we have one in the future we will have to really hash that one out). Which do you have more of girl or boy names that you like?

I chose all three of my kids first names just because they were names that I really liked. Their middle names all are named after someone. That is how I was named. My mom had a friend and she liked her name so she used it on me, and then my middle name came from my great grandmother. so i wanted to do that with my kids. my oldest is hannah leigh. her middle name actually comes from two people. my grandmother and my husbands sisters middle name was lee and lea. so we used that but changed the spelling. both my grandmother and my husbands sister had passed away in 1999 before my daughter was born. my middle daughter is hailey nicole. nicole is actually from my best friend. she and i have been best friends for 22 years and she has always been there for me. my son's name is logan charles. charles is my dads middle name also. i wanted to name him after one of the men in my family but i didn't like any of the names lol. my dad's first name is timothy and I didn't really care for that either so i used his middle name.

Mine are...ok ready?...take a breath...Lilly Rebecca, Troy Elliott Jeffrey, Katley Nicole, Ryan Dale, Evan Michael, and Nicholas James. I'd tell you all the stories and reasons for choosing their names but it would just take to long! The brief over view...they all have one of my initials, several were named at least loosely for a deceased family member, one shares a name with a deceases race car driver, a few are just names one of us or the other liked a lot. I think that covers it all!

I have a son, and my ex husband and his parents wanted to make him a Junior. I did not want my son named after his father. I had seen a trick on one of the soap operas where the person told the father we will pick a name out of a hat. I wrote the name I wanted on all of the papers, so when my ex drew the name, of course it was the name I wanted. Mean trick, but I really did not want my son to be a junior

A friend of mine had a brother who was a junior. When we all met for Christmas her mother told me if it was a boy not to do junior, that "everyone in the family should have their own name." I thought it was an interesting statement!
