The enviroment pollution is more and more worse in the world now. A big reason for this is the tail gas exhausted by the cars. And we know that America is a society on the wheel from our childhood and it seems there will be more and more countries become the slave of wheels.
If we just let it be, I think things will be worse more.
For the god have gaven us feet, can American people live with out cars?

some people can, most cant. I live in a Suburb of Chicago and a lot of people drive to the city (about an hour drive) to work. maybe if all people worked in their own towns it would work. but then would you want to wait at a bus stop when its -20 degrees out and 20Inches of snow on the ground?
the modern car in good working condition burns fuel pretty efficiently compared to the pre 1996 cars, a good running car will burn 1 gallon of fuel and 1 gallon of moisture will come out the exhaust. so keep your cars running good and you will save gas and help keep our air clean.

Yes, God gave us feet. But he also gave man the ability and knowledge to build a car. Many people in America live too far from anything to walk. In fact, I myself live 10 miles from ANY store, so I don't think I'd be walking to buy food or anything else. There are places here in America where people are farther removed from stores than me, too. Thank goodness we have ways to get around instead of walking or the horse and buggy days!
