I've lost a pound since starting the Boundless Living Challenge Sunday. It's not alot but I'm happy. I hardly ever lose weight quickly. Just as long as it keeps coming off I'll be satisfied. Hopefully a few more will come off soon!

Tell us more about the Boundless Living Challenge. And congratulations on losing a pound. One pound is on the way to losing what you desire to lose. I also need to lose some weight. I have been drinking water instead of coffee for over a year. Coffee always says 'food'. And, I am eating far less bread than I have ever eaten. Bread is my downfall! I have lost probably 8-10 lbs in the last few months. It is slow and you can't tell much, but at least my slacks are a little looser. And when my husband notices, then you know I've lost some. But I need to lose more and it would be nice to have some more ideas on how to accomplish my goal.

Check out the challenge at http://www.boundlessliving.ning.com It's tied with the Law of Attraction and all about positive thinking and overcoming obsticales that stop us from reaching our goals. I'm really enjoying it so far. Congrats on your weight loss. If you join the challenge let me know so I can add you as a friend.

Barb42, it sounds like you are doing fine! Congratulations :) For my husband to notice, I'd have to lose at least half my body weight ... he never notices anything ... lol! On the other hand, that is quite a relief if I put some on, as he doesn't notice that either.

Penny, when my pants starts getting a little baggy, my husband will say something about me losing weight. I hadn't said a thing to him and he noticed. We were out shopping today and I looked in the mirror. I told him I looked so sloppy I bought me a new pair of black slacks. They fit much better than the ones I had on. I've got to get to exercising and lose my little tummy and firm my legs and arms up! I keep saying that and just get complacent!

Good on you! I know quite a few people who have controlled their type 2 diabetes through weight loss, and it's like they never even had it. They don't have to worry about it any more!

That's great. Right after I was diagnosed I took control and got alot better. My A1C got back into the normal range and I lost 20 pounds. Unfortunately life got in the way and I gained it back. I'm still doing good so far. Hopefully I'll stick to it this time!

Congrats on losing a pound, sunnflr. I know how important that "first" pound is when it comes off. It lets you know that you are really serious and that what you are doing is working. Good for you, that is great. I am pulling for you. I hope you do well on the Boundless Living Challenge.

Hey sunnflr. Keep on doing what you are doing. It is a day at a time. Sometimes, it's an hour at a time, or a minute at a time. You just have to get through the next one. That is all. I eat vegetables to stay full. If I really need a snack, I eat a fruit. Freeze green grapes, and pop one in your mouth. They are surprisingly delicious! Take care. We are all in this together.

I've heard that before about grapes, but never tried it. I'll have to one of these days. Today I had cheese for a snack.

Good for you! Congratulations! One pound since Sunday is a good amount to lose. You don't want to take weight off too quickly because you could develop heart problems if your potassium level drops too quickly! I'm sure there are other things you lose along with pounds when trying to lose weight too fast. So, it sounds like you're on your way! Keep up the good work and keep us posted!

Thank you. I would be happy with a pound a week, but two would be even better, and still healthy. At first we lose water weight anyhow so the first few weeks don't count like that. I'm already down another pound this morning! I know it's all water because I'm back to keeping my carbs where they are suppposed to be for my diabetes.

Good luck with your weight lose. It took me 1 1/2 years to loose 40 lbs. It is a long hard battle. You will need a lot of support from your family. So good luck. Happy Dieting. :-)

Congrats on your weight loss. Luckily my husband is very supportive. He makes sure we buy the right foods, and when we go out he wants me to pick the restaurant so that I can eat correctly.
