Do you consider gender, before selecting a best response to your post? Or are you driven by other considerations i.e. friends' response, length of response, realistic response, mature response etc.?

Frankly speaking. I have been fair to everybody who contributes on my discussions since I started here. In selecting best response on my post, I choose which response really caught my attention, the one who states what I am looking for and it must be a realistic one. It doesn't matter also how long or how short the response would be as long as he/she has been true to his/her response.

Best response means just that, the best response. It has nothing to do with who is responding, but the response itself. It also doesn't matter if I totally agree with the view of the responder. Sometimes I pose a question that I think I have an answer for, but someone opens my mind to a new view...that person deserves a best response because the caused me to look within myself. Gender, age, whether they're on my friends list...none of that matters one bit....unless of course I was just bored and only one person responds to me, and its not a discussion that is time-lasting, then my friend will get the BR cause they were the one who paid attention to me in my boredom.

I personally did not look whether they are Male or Female to select the Best Response on my discussion. It is all about the responses they provided. That is my basis.

Yes, I will sometimes consider gender among other things when replying to a question or statement. The average man and woman do think differently. I'm sure this is a combination of nurture and nature.

No not all I never look for the gender when I mark the best reponse, I don't even know if they are male or female just by looking at their photos because some people just put any photo. I mark the best response to that person who has actually given the best response and I don't look at anything else like country or something, that would be really unfair right?

I cannot imagine why gender would matter when I choose a best response. My choice of best response is based on who addressed the question and responded with the most thoughtfulness. Length might or might not reflect thoughtfulness.

I wouldn't say that I consider gender at all when I am selecting a best response. I actually just consider the character of the person and the information that they are stating to me. Length of response sometimes makes a difference and also how mature they seem to be. I have come across a lot of intelligent and resourceful people on this site and I believe that both genders are of equal importance.

depends if the answer impresses me...not if the person who give it was a male or female :P
