how to work linux

hi there all you wonderful people, can anybody please explain to me how to install a program and run the program after i have downloaded it, ive just changed to linux and im really confused, cheers, Andrew

try reading books...if you are not interested in spending money, download that ebook... well,that too is not free,but i'll give you a site where you can download free,quality ebooks... Go here:ebookee.com and search for your own...three days back i downloaded an ebook on Linux from this site...its very useful..
