WooHoooo!!!!!
I just recieved notification that one of my recent articles was selected for up front payment through Associated Content. This is my first. Its a whopping 4 dollars, ut hey its four more than I had before. The best part is, this was a paper I had to do for school, so I get double credit...points towards a class, and money in the bank..How cool is that??

I think its SUPER!! It's a great start, Sweetie! I often hear many a writer have to admit that their work was accept but they didn't get a single penny. So CONGRATS to you on this small but important victory and have it help you stay motivated to KEEP ON WRITING. I can't wait to hear more from you regarding future projects.

It did encourage me to submit another for upfront payment, but it hasn't been accepted yet.

I'm working at it. It has taken me a long time to give this site a chance, but now I am very glad I did. I'm also in school, so time is limited...BUT every 5 weeks I write a paper, and since AC has a place for college papers it works out great!! I'm also getting page views for some of my previously published work on Helium and Triond...so its working out rather well for me:)
Once I saw the money coming in; I was like: "hmmm, thins works; let's see what more I can do".

That's great. Keep writing and submitting and you can earn a lot more.
One of my old Helium articles was bought for $10 and that came as a surprise to me because it was just a debate article and wasn't even the top rated. This week I had my first article accepted in Helium Marketplace and I got paid $20. Last week I won $40 in one of the Helium contests too, so I'm doing really well there. Like most people I made less than a dollar in the first few months, but now I have nearly $80 in my account.
I haven't submitted to AC because I'm not in the USA, but I have seen good things about it and I believe you can make a nice income from writing there.

Congratulations! That's wonderful. I can't get upfront payment for my articles at AC, so I did not spend much time there. Although I can get payment for pageviews, but it's very little. Isn't it great to do one thing and get credit twice?

Yes it is. My mom has been bugging me to get some of my school papers out there for about 4 months...now I wish I would have done it sooner:)

Maybe...I dunno. Helium doesn't think so. I have 15 articles there and have been submitting since April, and my account only hold 27 cents. So I'm going to be focusing more now with AC.

Yes, I think it is only open to US. But Triond is open to others, I believe, have you tried there? They don't have the upfront payment option, but my articles are earning more per view than on Helium.
