do you look to respond to discussions that others have with no responces?

I also try to do so. It's often nice for them to know that their thread isn't being ignored. Especially if the discussion they initiate is a question-answer type thing, then it seems even more courteous to just give them an answer. Sometimes I'm slightly sad that good discussion topics are lost in the no response section due to bad luck whereas banal topics make it to the front page. I really wish there were a button in myLot that allowed me to hide discussions I no longer wanted to see. Would make my front page a lot cleaner.

yes, I do that. I think that, often, people have come up with a good topic for discussion but for some reason it just doesn't get answered. I've seen the point made that the simple 'whats your favourite....' are easier to answer and that there are people who are more interested in clocking up large numbers of posts than giving thoughtful responses. I suppose the timing may be a factor although, with members from around the world, you'd think there would be people with a wide variety of interests online pretty much all the time. I tend not to reply to those that already have several responses unless its a topic I have strong feelings about. There is an element of laziness there as I dont want to just repeat what someone else has said but I dont really want to check through 40-odd responses.

Yes I always check no responses first and then respond to some discussions which I feel comfortable.

Generally when I get on mylot, I check, discussions my friends have started (I don't have it set up to e-mail me discussions that all my friends have started, I get too much e-mail as it is ), then Discussions from My Interests, then Discussions with no responses. After tht, I usually check hot Discussions or new or something. I only respond to discussions if I can add something that I feel is meaningful.

I go to no responses all the time and try to repsond to the older ones. I know it drives me nuts to have the 3 or 4 from when i started on here in unresolved all the time. I think though it would be nice if there was a link for us to see our friends zero responses.

I do try to do that, if not once a day, at least a few times a week. I always feel badly if there is a discussion with no comments. Often times, they are good discussions, but by rather newbies. They haven't learned yet that it's almost impossible to get a discussion going when you're brand new.

I like to if the discussion is a good one that has just been over looked, but you do get a lot of rubbish one line discussions in there too and it's no surprise they don't have any responses. Mylot moves so fast there are discussions that just slip off the list straight away and no one sees them those are the ones to look for.

At times yes i do check out some topics that have zero responses. Specially if i don't see any topic on the hot/new/today's top discussions that gets my interest.I had the same feeling as others who gets zero response.It pays at times when you give a part of your thought,opinion,ideas,advices to them.They would sometimes check your topics and respond to it.

Yes. When I've finished running through all of my friends' notifications, I go to the tab "discussions with no responses. Every so often, there are some really good ones in there. There are a lot that don't deserve responses, too.

hi hun i am only new to mylot and what your saying is a great idea so im going to go looking for those posts as i know some of mine that i think have been rather interesting i have had no response so i will do that so it brings a discussion that is great to the surfers.. great idea thanks hun hugssssssssssss

That's what i been doing lately. I always look for post on the no responses because i also know how it feel s when no one is replying on your post. 99% of my responses belong to no responses.This my way way of giving back what i receive.

The very time I wrote a discussion, I was so scared that no one would respond!! I usually look under "no responses" first when I am one the Discussion tab! Have a great night!

Hi, according to me if no body responses to my tab for discussions then i think that i should give a good discussions which can help to the people or which is good for discussion. I won't stop responsing to other discussions but i will improve my discussion tab.

Yes think it is good feeling to try to give a response to a discusion without any -chances are that you could get a BR, and BRs are very nice to see atop your response

moon This is so sweet of you. On my part I do make it a point to resolve no responses of others whenever I get time. Trust me, it feels so much better once I do it. Yes, many times good discussions get lost in the hordes of discussions here and I did find some great discussions with no responses but a few months older. And guess what, it got alive after I responded. Happy Mylotting.

Sometimes. There are some goods discussions that nobody has responded. Giving responces encourage people to share good ideas.

Yes I do. I feel bad if I see someone is not getting any responses. I know how I feel when I don't get any. It's true some discussions get so many and others get just a handful. I have't really figured it out how that happens. I know from personal experience that mine, even though I seem to have alot of friends don't get as many as I hope they would but I'm still happy that I get to respond to as many as I can. That's the fun of mylot! As long as I'm participating I feel great!

I do this from time to time. I too get discouraged when I get no responses to some of the discussions I have started so I want to give people the opportunity to get their discussion seen, especially if it's a good one!
