Yes, I always leave a tip for the waiter or waitress. They are doing me a service and I appreciate it. I leave a 20 percent tip on the table each time I eat out. I work in a field where we can accept tips and know how much I appreciate anything tossed in the tip jar.

Nope. In my country, when we dine in restaurants, a 10% service charge is added to our bill. That service charge is out so called tips to the service staff in the restaurants. However, when we travel to other countries, we will give tips and it's their culture. So, next time, if you drop by Singapore, please remember you do not need to give tips. It's not our culture. Of course, if you like the service very much, you can choose to give out of your own will.

I give tips depening on how my service was. If the service was lousy I am not going to leave a tip if the service is good I will leave a nice tip. I have went to a restaraunt where the waitress comes to the table to take your order and brings your food and then brings the bill never comes back and never asks if you need anything else she is not going to get a tip.

always except like once and it was because the person literally took our order.. brought it to us and we NEVER saw her again.. we were out of drinks and bread and etc and we were there for like over an hour so there was no excuse for that.. i left a note to her that if she wanted a tip she needs to earn one and her manager picked it up and she got fired.. other than that one time i ALWAYS leave a tip and always leave the proper or more amount..

It happened even to us once we waited almost half hour after making an order , So we shouted at manager but we had to understand later that 2 people had to serve 15 tables as others were on strike..So we tipped them heavily..thanks for your response..

Yes I do. Also to hairdressers :) It's just become a habit. The only time I won't give a tip is if the waiter provided awful service.

Unless the Quality of the service or the food has been very bad, I always leave a tip for the waiter/waitress. Its usually a generous tip. And always followed by a smile with thank you.

I must admit that before... i don't even give a single cent to waiters or waitresses... but when i experience working as one for two years... and getting tips made me feel happy... i started leaving some... not too much because i can't afford to give a lot... but enough to make them smile... tipping is not really very popular among Filipinos...

Almost always I tip. And in the US we have "customary" tips based on service. According to "etiquette" rules you should tip a minimum of 15% for service. I however will not tip bad service and will ask for another waiter or waitress if it starts out bad.

We enjoy food the most unless it is served the best, and so tip has its own value..Thanks for the response.

That varies for sure in the country you are living right now. In USA is a practice and every american knows that he or she should tip any service given to them, so yes I tip all waiters and waitress in restaurants in USA!

I would like to say that I always leave a tip. But, honestly I cant say that. It depends on how the waiter or waitress is. If they are nice and friendly and do their job well I give them a tip and a decent one at that. Unfortanly if they are rude then I do not leave a tip. I know that is wrong and I should give them a tip anyways but what can a person do.

Yes. Always I do offer tips. Its so mean to take £3 cheap when the receipt is £27 and you have paid £30.
