I want to share something with you husbands, children and grandchildren. If your wife, mother, or grandmother is a homemaker, and doesn't work an outside job bringing in money from an outside job, that doesn't automatically make her your mother, maid, or slave!
I know I'm not the only woman who has to deal with this but I am sick of it. And I have know doubt I'm not the only one.
I want to speak on behalf of all homemakers who have to deal with day to day slobs and pigs who think because we don't work a nine to five job we have nothing better than to do then get up in the mornings and pick up the trail you people have left behind.
When we get ready to vacuum, we don't want to spend thirty minutes picking up everyones shoes and putting them away, we don't want to pick up the couch pillows off of the floor and putting them back on the couch. We have no interest in gathering up dirty socks, glasses, bowls, soda cans and all the other junk you bunch of ingrates have left laying around from the night before.
We won't even go into the chip bags, books, paper, computer toys and tools.
Sometimes we like to get up and clean house and not have to CLEAN HOUSE before we do it.
By the time we get done picking up your crap, we're to tired to do the things we need to do.
Husbands, we are not your mother.
Children, we are not your maid.
Grandchildren, we are not your slaves.
You may have it in your mind. 'Oh, she doesn't work, she can pick up my drawers, shoes, used towels that I have left on the bathroom floor because it's to much effort, and I'm to sorry to walk over to the hamper and throw it in.'
I have a flash for you, we do work. And we work darn hard. And we're sick of it.
You are all old enough to pick-up and put away what you drag out. NOW DO IT!!!
Thank-you for letting me vent.
