Lately, I've been receiving a lot of these emails and have noticed others saying the same, so I thought it would be a good idea to research and convey what we should do when we receive these.
If you receive any of these offers in your email, where someone is wanting to pay you a fee to help them transfer money out of another country to the United States, here are the guidelines provided by ConsumerFraudReporting.com regarding what you should and shouldn't do:
Forward a copy of the email to the Federal Trade Commission at spam@uce.gov and to Consumer Fraud Reporting at CRF2008A@ConsumerFraudReporting.org
DO NOT respond to the email - DO NOT ever pay any money or fees - DO NOT reveal your full identity - DO NOT reveal any financial or personal information (bank account #, social security #, driver's license #, passport # or credit card details) - DO NOT ever travel to meet the sender

If everyone will begin sending them on to the email addresses I have provided instead of just deleting or ignoring them, they can track these people down and prosecute them.

You got a pretty good point there.I'll start e-mailing them about the emails.

I use to receive three or more of those emails a day, I would just place them all in my spam folder and the problem seems to have resolved itself, since it's been almost a year since the last time I received one of them.
Though the information you have provided is informative and will help those who may not know about these sort of e-mails.

I don't know how these people get our email addresses - I guess they probably just buy lists from people who will sell them.

Yes, they are crooks, and we need to report them so that they will be caught and prosecuted.

I have always just reported them as spam through Yahoo, but I see from this post that there is a lot more I can do. I think I need to add these addresses to my address book in Yahoo, so that I can take care of it easily every time.

Those of us who want to continue to use the internet and email correctly should do what we can to get rid of those who want to use it illegally and to promote their scams.

Hi,
I too rec'd several of these on a monthly basis, I got to the point I don't read it, I just delete, they are scams and once they get your info, they will be able to clear out your back account. 1 of my friends did this 4 years ago, and she was wiped out. she was not to happy about it, so please don't read them, just delete.

Great idea, not bad. I haven't had many in the last few m onths, I have always repored them to my network, and that would be the end of it. but guess it's not enough, I think they get our emails from lists that they buy from others. so I don't give any of my info out to anyone I don't know.
