For those who are not familiar, Professor Randy Pausch wrote a good bye lecture to kids, which he read to his class on his last day as a professor at Carnegie Mellon. The lecture ended up on You Tube and he was on shows such as Oprah. The reason the lecture caught on was because of how much feeling and how many lessons that could be learned from it. He wrote a book based on the lecture that was released earlier this year.
Here is the lecture (get the tissues out first!):

He was diagnosed, I believe in 2006, but was deemed untreatable in mid-2007.
He passed away early 7/25.

I remember my teacher sharing his story, and it really touched me.
It's a shame to hear he has passed.
Rest in peace, Randy. My thoughts out to his family in this time.
