studies show that most people are wasting more of their life in front of computers and t.vs and other electronics than being outside and school combined so this shows that years ago before electricity people were more energetic and had a better life in other words than us and this isn't good for our health and more and more electronic gadgets are coming out

I have heard of these studies. They seem to make a lot of sense. It has become an age of technology and people have become slaves to it all. I would be a hypocrite if I didn't say I enjoy going on the computer and watching television.
I suppose that getting out and getting some exercise every once in a while wouldn't be a bad idea for me. But it's been quite hot here recently. Yes, I know that sounds like an excuse, because it is!

friend, i really don't think that we are wasting our time instead i think we are enjoying it. of course its healthy to be outside and every one should be going out and enjoy and try and stay healthy in their lives ... but people are really enjoying their time sitting in front of computers(those are my thoughts anyway .... different people have different opinions). Enjoy!

Yeah, lately it seems like I'm wasting my life here because I just joined a new site that's really addictive. But, it wears off. I am kinda glad, now, that I have a job with a lot of actual human interaction as I think I would have a severe problem if I didn't. The thing is that, now, I earn money via the internet and it makes it harder to get off the computer more than ever. Also, with high gas prices, it's harder to go anywhere to do other things. I basically just exercise and stay home now.

Well, maybe this is true to some extent, or for certain people. But I really think that there is no such thing as "wasting your life" if you are enjoying what you are doing! I mean, not everyone likes to be outside, and some people are way too shy or socially anxious to meet people. Also, there are other considerations, like people who have disabilities and can't get out much, and also with gas prices and the economy in general being so bad it's not really practical to drive around looking for things to do. So I do think that tv and computers definitely have their uses. I honestly wouldn't have wanted to live in the day when technology hardly existed, I like my laptop and i-pod!

I work from home. So a good part of my day can be spent in front of the computer. It can be time consuming. But I think the secret is finding a good balance. Spend time away. Get up and move. Go outside. I do these things. It's an effort to set a good example for my daughter.
