Rapport between twins!!!

Research say that rapport between twin siblings is more than between a mother and the child.
What do you think the reason for this could be? Is it because of being of same age? Is it being a special relation where none of the both is younger or elder? or anything else?

I think the basic nature of the twins are alomost the same. This is a miracle of nature but i've heard the twins share everything amongst them naturally. This could be food, choice of places, things feeling sad about, things that make them both happy etc. The time they share inside mother's womb may also be the reason for being so close to each other
