no close friends

July 27, 2008 8:44am CST
I have no close friends that I can talk to. My husband has been gone 1 year today after 47 years being married, and he just could not live longer. I have no one to talk to that understands. during my marriage he didn't think I needed friends, so therefore I pushed folks away and now I need friends. I wish I had one close friend which I could tell my problems to and listen to their problems.

Margaret4389, I WILL be your friend. I do not know if you live near Tennessee, USA...and I do not know how close you are to where I live. Please, add me to your friends list. I love to meet others, online, and off-line. Even if I had a million friends, I would still probably not have enough. So, if you want to push me away, that's alright, too. I will STILL be there to listen to you, when you pull me back in. Some times, people need their own space, too. Therefore, if you push me away, I will still be there for you, if you want me to. Thanks, Chrystinah, your friend, forever!

Christina, I live in Florida, a little ways from Tennessee, but, I'm glad to have you for my cyber friend. Tell me a bit about you if you would like. I am almost 65 (next month) and have lived a long time. I have 3 children, 2 grandchildren and 2 ggrandchidren, so, you see, I am old. hee hee

Hi margaret! I'm so sorry to hear about your situation,i can only imagine how hard this must be for you. There's nothing that can compare to having if only one good friend to lean on esspecially when times get hard. Although i can only offer a cyber friendship, i will be willing to do all i can in supporting you if you'll have me. I believe a problem shared is a problem solved. So i would be honored to call you friend. {{{HUGS}}}

hello, Margaret, I'd much like to be your friend should I had the honor. I haven't been on MYLOT for over two months because of the heavy study. But today, I saw you here. I will come to Mylot regularly in future. Please allow me to be your listener. Renee

Thank you, dear Margaret. I'm learning English now. So, actually, blogging here is good for my study. Books teach me much, but they are not always interesting. By posting and responding here, besides learning and using the language, I am communicating with people, getting help and help others. Sometimes, there really exist moving moments. I've made some good friends here with whom I often exchange emails. I try to write correct sentences with correct punctuation, because I want to learn the language accurately. Thank you again.

Thank you Renee, it is good that you are studying instead of blogging, :o) it shows you are a smart girl. I am an old lady, 65 next month, and I find I'm on here with a lot of younger folks. Also, the person that chastised you for not using caps and punctuations, don't bother with them. If you want to write that way, do it, it is your personality. Although here in the USA we are taught in school about the punctuation etc but there are a lot of people who do not use it. I do because I've always been a secretary and it is imbedded in me to do it this way. Thank you so much for your support. I thought today would be okay, but it is the anniversary of my husband's passing over to the other side and it is a bit sad that he isn't here. (((HUG)))))
