Because I have kids of school age, I have to buy them notebooks, pad papers and other school supplies. When I buy these things, I always read or scrutinize the item. If I have to buy a notebook of 90 leaves or 50 leaves or like that. However, It never came to my mind that a manufacturer really is honest. So I started counting the paper leaves. and always it is less by 5 leaves, 2 leaves. Sometimes it is right. Maybe loose pages really got loose.... in packaging or transporting.

I used to count the pages in notebooks and pads when we bought school supplies when the boys went to school, because if you pay by sheet, you want to make sure that they are accurate. I never counted the pages in those 500 or more packages. I figured that they should be honest, but maybe I should. We will need some more computer letterhead pretty soon and I do not want to feel that I was cheated.

Well, you may try count one ream. If there is one page short, it was a machine or human error . . . but if it is more that is different. Counting pages makes me sleep!

LOL =D This is really funny.. hehe =D NO matter what, i will never count them as i believe that it will be accurate as it's stated on the cover itself.. ANd also, my words are big and i tend to use more pages and so when i finished the whole pad fast, i wun suspect that my note pads are actually short of a few leaves.. lol

Ha ha ha! Actually, it was my daughter who started counting the leaves of her notebooks and pad. Then she'll find out that it is short of a few leaves but in fairness some are exact. So I count it myself to be sure. Really so tedious. . . lol

hi fairlady! mothers really have the patience when it comes to doing things to save money. ^__^ whenever i buy notebooks or pad papers i don't bother to count the pages/leaves because its just too bothersome. if its looks okay and if its looks thick enough, then fine with me. 5 leaves missing won't be such a big deal. yes i know, i can say this because i don't have kids, i don't understand the pains in budgeting for a family. that's why i don't want to have a family yet.

hmmm interesting. Possibly they could be mistakes at the factory before the notebooks are bound, or they could be trying to save money by leaving a few out on each. They would be able to sell so many notebooks more if they cheaped out on ones that claim to have a certain amount by don't. But who knows, can't be sure if it's just human error or what it is. Now the next time I get a notebook I will go ahead and count it and see what I can find.

Yea maybe human error or the manufacturer might be able to earn more. Certainly, I don't have to complain!
