Last Friday was my 31st Birthday. I didn't have any grand celebration, and went to work as normal. I just spent the night with my best friend. I received a cake and I am so touched. Have you celebrated your 31st birthday? If you have, do you still remember how you celebrated it?

Thanks for the greeting karmendra. It's good be at the 20's (I envy you because I have passed my 30's ) But I am grateful that I survive until today. It's great celebrating your birthday with your friends and family. Hope you will have a great 31st birthday 4 years later. Happy posting and have a nice day!

You are right, we should always feel young in our heart, no matter how old we become. In fact, I am considered to have younger look than my actual age and somewhat 'childish' according to my friend and colleagues. It might be because I have a playful nature and always think about happy things instead of putting pressure on myself. Thanks again for the good wishes.

Happy birthday dear cheongyc. It’s just nice to have your best friend to celebrate your 31st birthday together last Friday. I had left my comment on the attached photo of your birthday present, the lovely birthday cake.
I had celebrated my 21st birthday long time ago I remember I had received many birthday gifts on that day and I was busy to entertain my friends. I hadn’t celebrated my 31st birthday as that time my toddler was still small and I was busy to take care of him and I had totally forgotten about my birthday.
I dislike having grand birthday celebration as I don’t want to spend extra time and to take the trouble to prepare the celebration. I always feel content and happy if I could have dinner together with my loved ones on my birthday.
posting and good luck.

Right, it's good to celebrate with best friend. The celebration not necessary to be grand, but with our friends and loved ones are more meaningful. I have seen the comments on the photo, and thanks for it!
21st Birthday is very meaningful too. Because it's the age where we are considered grown up and independent. It worth celebrating. You are very lucky to have a child by the age of 31. Your son will be very touched because you took care of him until forgot about your own birthday.
Birthday party or celebration is tiresome and costly. So, I also will just wish for some gathering or dinner on my birthday. Thanks for the response and have a nice day!

I do remember when my 30th Birthday came, I had a party and invited friends and family over. It was pretty cool. I had family from D.C.,Connecticut, N.Y. and all over come and have a good time. It was a bit bland, but cool. I even celebrated my 28th birthday because it was my daughter's first birthday(she and I have birthdays six days apart)so I had a little something and gave her a nicer birthday with cake for her second birthday at her home day care providers home.

Glad that you did have a great birthday. It's worth celebrating because we could survive thus far The celebration does not necessary to be grand. It just need to be sweet, unforgettable and warm. I feel happy even though I just received calls from good friends and my parents. It just warm my heard to receive their greetings. It's cute that your birthday and yours are just few days apart.

Happy Birthday, cheongyc. I am sorry for the belated greetings to you. But I am sure that you had a wonderful birthday together with your friend though it went as normal.
I don't celebrate my birthday, but my wife and my son are always the ones to say Happy Birthday to me. I am very happy for that. In fact, I have never had a single grand birthday party. It always went as normal. I have no idea when I will have one. Maybe when my son is old enough to have one for me when he starts to make his own earnings years later. I am waiting for his having one for me. lol.

Thanks for the wishing. I am totally fine. Yes, it was a good memory to be remembered. I think you and me are similar when come to birthday celebration. Spending time with family is a good way of celebrating our birthday. I had only once a party with uncle's and aunt's families. Thanks to my great parents, because of them, I had a good memory. I think your son definitely is going to celebrate your birthday in future. The photo you attached shows a very touching event. Your brother in law families must be having a great celebration.

Hello to you cheongyc!
Belated happy birthday to you! How was your birthday? Have you received many presents? Well, I have not reached that age yet. I do not have any idea how I will be celebrating it if ever. Anyway, I do hope that you will have more birthdays to come!

Thanks for the greeting and your response to my discussion, I am happy indeed! It was just a simple gathering with friends, without much grand or fancy celebration. In fact, it just mark the milestone of our journey on Earth. It has been 31 years since I was born. Yeah, hope I will survive longer and be able to celebrate much more birthday to come.
